Dogs can enjoy Halloween just as much as the kids do! Here are some tips to make sure your furry friend has a spook-tacular time:

  • Make sure your dog is wearing a reflective collar and tag so drivers can see them in the dark.
  • Bring your dog’s favorite treats along for trick-or-treating, and have a stash of treats ready for when they get home.
  • If you’re taking your dog out to a Halloween party or parade, be sure to bring a bowl and water to keep them hydrated.
  • Keep your dog away from any decorations or treats that may be harmful, such as candy or chocolate.
  • Staying in? If your dog is fearful of loud noises, try to keep him in a quiet room with a radio or television on to muffle the sounds.

Keep in mind that dogs may be frightened by the loud noises and costumes associated with Halloween. Ease them into it and reward with treats.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!
