This will our third Fall dog bandana collection and we couldn’t be more excited. We started Max & Co Pets the best way we knew how, and that was by making things. We are makers at heart. So dog bandanas will always be part of who we are and we hope to design many more collections in the future.
Our bandana collections are not random. In fact, lots of planning goes behind every collection. Care to know what that looks like? Read on.
Before every dog bandana collection, we start with a moodboard. This year, this gave us all the feels…
Once we put our moodboard together (my favorite part!) I start fabric shopping. This can take anywhere from days to weeks as finding just the right fabric I have in mind has not been simple task. Some fabrics are available for purchase immediately, other need to be pre-ordered, but all are worth the wait.
Once we receive the fabrics we start making the samples. Sometimes during the sample making process we realize that a fabric may not work for us. This can mean it’s too thick, not durable enough, pattern and colors are off, etc. In that case, the hunt starts all over again. Most times, they are exactly what we were hoping for.

Our leashes are constructed of double-braided nylon, come with adjustable knotted O-rings and 100% brass hardware. Sewn together with an industrial sewing machine using bonded nylon thread and finished off with a whip knot for added safety and a little style.
Before samples are complete, we embroider some with the colors of the season.
And before you know it, we have a fall dog bandana collection ready for the world.
Is it always seamless? Nope! Not even close. There are lots of days of frustration, of second guessing, of wondering if you all will like the designs/fabrics we have chosen. But hearing the comments and reviews back from your guys via email, Instagram, and Facebook makes this whole process worthwhile.
As with every collection before it, I’m holding my breath you guys will love this one. New fall collection will be released on September 2, 2022.
